Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience working at a design or design build firm

• Proficiency in kitchen and interior design, including space planning, layout development, and material and finish selection.

• Strong drafting skills with experience using CAD, Chief Architect, 2020 or similar design software for detailed 2D and 3D drawings.

• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical plans, elevations, and construction documents.

• Effective client-facing skills, including consultation, needs assessment, and clear communication of design concepts.

• Experience coordinating with contractors, installers, and suppliers to verify measurements, specifications, and installation requirements.

The Cabinet Designer is responsible for leading cabinetry sales, design, and project coordination from initial client consultation through installation. The Cabinet Designer also supports the Senior Cabinet Designer with select projects while maintaining primary responsibility for their own active workload. This position requires strong design ability, sales confidence, organized project management, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships that support ongoing business development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in cabinetry, interior design, construction, or project coordination

• Proven sales experience with the ability to close new project leads

• Strong relationship‑building skills with industry professionals; existing industry contacts highly preferred

• Experience with custom or semi‑custom cabinetry preferred

• Luxury residential experience strongly preferred

• Proficiency in 2020 Design, CAD/Chief Architect, manufacturer ordering systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software

• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, installation timelines, interior finishes, hardware, appliances, and builder scheduling

The Cabinetry and Design Assistant is a part or full-time, on-site role based in Grand Junction, CO. This position supports the design team with cabinetry layouts, material selections, and preparation of design presentations. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with client consultations, gathering project requirements, and maintaining organized project files and samples. The role involves using design software to create and update drawings, preparing measurements and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and installers as needed. The Cabinetry and Design Assistant also helps with showroom displays, responds to client inquiries, and ensures that each project moves smoothly from concept to completion. This position includes field support such as measurements, cabinet delivery check‑ins, troubleshooting installation issues, punch list coordination, completion orders, and additional cabinetry tasks on site.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to support client interactions and team collaboration.

• Candidates should possess Interior Design skills, with an eye for layout, color, and materials suitable for cabinetry and kitchen spaces.

• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Graphic Design skills to produce accurate drawings, visual concepts, and presentation materials.

The Junior Interior Designer is an integral member of the Blush Kitchens Co. design team, providing day-to-day design, documentation, sourcing, presentation, and project support to our Senior Interior Designer and Principal Designer. This is a developmental role for a designer with a strong foundation, exceptional attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to grow within a collaborative, high-performing design firm. The Junior Interior Designer is not expected to independently manage complex projects upon hire. Instead, they work under the direction and mentorship of a Senior Interior Designer while developing the technical knowledge, client communication skills, judgment, and project ownership necessary to advance within Blush Kitchens Co.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
